These fantastic gearkits will convert an oridinary 5 speed into an ultra-close ratio 6 speed, all fitted into the standard factory case.

Quaife Engineering produces two gearkits for the Volkswagen 02A and 02J cable shift gearboxes found in G60 and VR6 powered cars, as well as the New Beetle, Bora (Jetta 4) Audi A3, and Golf 4 TDI/1.8/1.8T/V5/VR6 models.
The synchromesh kit features semi-helical, high strength gears and are designed to use the orignal linkage and mechanisms. The stock, or other factory 02A ring and pinion is retained. Includes: mainshaft, all main and counter gears, new end cover, and required linkage parts. Final drive, new synchros, bearings, etc are not included.

The dog engagement kit is built for racing purposes only. The high strength semi-helical gears run on needle rollers. It comes complete as shown in the photo above: mainshaft, main and counter gears, dog rings, final drive, end cover, required linkage parts.
